All massages will be customized to your specific needs. This includes, but is not limited to, various techniques such as Orthopedic, Deep Tissue, Swedish, Trigger Point, Sports Massage, Myofascial Release, PNF Stretching, and more.

  • Muscle imbalances drive dysfunction. Dysfunction will eventually bring pain and/or injury.

  • Massage helps to bring the body back to balance. When it comes to the daily grind we always want to be at our best.

  • We want to feel our best so we can perform our best, preferably pain-free.

  • Studies have proven the benefits and correlation between regular massage and optimal well-being.

The Many Benefits of Massage:

  • Reduced Muscle Soreness

  • Quicker recovery after workouts

  • Quicker Rehabilitation Post-injury

  • Increased Mobility, Flexibility and Joint Range of Motion

  • Reduced Adhesions and Scar Tissue

  • Reduced Trigger Points and Pain Patterns

  • Improved Soft Tissue Function

  • Reduced Swelling

  • Decreased Metabolic Waste/Lactic Acid

  • Enhanced Athletic Performance

  • Stimulation of Blood Flow and Circulation

  • Improved Immune Function

There are different types of Sports Massage:

  • Spot Specific = For problem areas, more focused to help you to heal faster (IT Band Syndrome, Low Back Pain, Sprains, Strains, Joint Pain, etc.)

  • Rehabilitative = Post-injury; increase blood flow to the area for faster recovery, lymph drainage, reduce swelling and adhesions, break up scar tissue, restore mobility

  • Full Body Deep Tissue = Head to toe restoration of muscles and fascia

  • Orthopedic = Warm up the muscle, muscle stripping, passive ROM with muscle stripping, active ROM with muscle stripping, flush it out

  • PNF Stretching = increase mobility, flexibility, pliability, and range of motion using a contract/relax type of approach

  • Pre-event = For stimulation and to warm up the muscles so they are ready to activate and fire properly during an event.

  • Post-event = Helps the body relax and recover faster

Can't I just foam roll?

Foam rolling, Tennis Ball Trigger Points, Bar Muscle Smashing, Band Flossing are all great techniques to address issues within our muscles and fascia, but ultimately they are designed for maintenance between Massage Sessions. The difference between a foam roll and a massage therapist is that a foam roll can bide your time and "scratch the surface," whereas a licensed massage therapist (LMT) knows anatomy, physiology, kinesiology, biomechanics, etc. We have the ability to assess the grain, tone, and texture of the muscles/fascia/skin. We know the difference between dehydrated, inflamed, or ischemic tissue. We can manipulate the body in certain positions to reach the deeper muscles and/or elicit the appropriate response from the muscles/fascia/nerves/lymph etc.

We make this happen through different techniques, for example, Compressive Effleurage, Petrissage, Compression, Deep Tissue, Trigger Point, Myofascial Release, Cross-Fiber Friction, Lymphatic Drainage, Soft Tissue Mobilization, Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation (PNF) Stretching, Chucking, Jostling, Vibration, and Joint Mobility/Range of Motion (ROM). So, while foam rolling is great, and a cheaper way to go...nothing can compare to the benefits of a hands-on professional massage.

My Goal

Ever think, "I just want a good massage, where someone knows what they are doing, really gets into the muscles, and I can feel the difference."

I know I have, and I strive to be that type of therapist for all of my clients. I am constantly researching, taking courses, and learning as much as I can so I can be the best massage therapist and in turn help as many people as I can. I take pride in what I do, and as an LMT I prefer to work WITH my clients to help them achieve optimal function and well-being so they can go about their everyday life in a mobile, pain-free, and joyful way. Here's to giving back to the body that works so hard for you, day in and day out. Your body is the only place you have to live...be kind and keep it happy! Schedule your massage today.
